New Move of the Week!

New Move ... Neck drop

SPOTTER REQUIRED

This move requires strength on the part of the follower, to keep her body rigid during the drop. Her only supports are her feet and then the leader's hand on her neck.

First try the drop without the entrance shown. The follower should face away from the leader and leader should hold the back of her neck with his upturned right palm. Drop slowly until her body is parallel to the floor from her knees to her head. She can hold onto the leader's right arm with her right arm.

The entrance shown is just a tuck turn from open, with the variation that the leader takes the follower's left shoulder with his right hand at the beginning of the turn. This does not mean that the turn is led by pushing her from the shoulder. The turn should be led with a compression between his left hand and her right hand as in a normal tuck turn. Leaders, bend slightly at the waist as she finishes her turn to face away from you, leaving room for her head to duck between your right arm and your torso. Keep your hand on her right shoulder without pushing, and as she turns your hand will wind its way to her neck. Bend your knees to support her weight in the dip, and then straighten them again to lift her out of the dip.
