New Moves CD-ROM Instructions
The CD-ROM works just like the website, so it includes the HTML code (the programs that will run on your browser) as well as the MPG movies (the higher-resolution versions). PC’s and Mac’s should be able to read the CD-ROM.
When you open it, you’ll see two files: INDEX.HTM and an HTML directory. All of the code and movies are in the HTML directory. To run the main page, just click on INDEX.HTM and your browser should be activated and display the main page. If not, run your browser first and then open that file. Netscape is recommended.
As you open each move, the appropriate HTML code will be read just as if it were on a website, except you won’t have to be online. When you click on a view for a move, your browser will try to open the movie associated with that view. If you’ve never opened an MPG movie before, you’ll have to specify which program you want to use to open it. Once you do, just set this up with your browser as the default action for those files (Netscape has an option that shows up in the same window). Otherwise, you might be asked whether to Save or Open the file every time you click on a movie, which will become annoying pretty quickly.
Note that you’ll need a copy of Media Player or some software that will play MPG movies. These should be available online. If you have a favorite, let me know and I’ll put up a link.
